Hello WPML,

I am running into a problem, namely:

I use the WMPL multi-language translation plugin within a few of my clients' websites. However, I now notice that the translated pages are not put in the sitemap.xml via Yoast.

I've done research at WPML and keep coming to the conclusion that we have to set up a different domain for every other language, is that correct? I find this very cumbersome. Below two articles:

https://wpml.org/errata/different-sitemaps-per-language-while-using-wordpress-seo-by-yoast/
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-wpml-affects-yoastseo-sitemap/

My question to you is: Do you have a different and much better solution for this?

The websites currently involved are:

hidden link
hidden link
hidden link

I would like to hear from you.

Have a great day!

Hi,

before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

First of all the errata you shared with us is solved at 2016, so nothing to do with your issue.

I have checked for example the first of your site :
hidden link

And I have checked the site maps :
hidden link
hidden link

In both sitemaps, you can see duplicate entries. You are having the same slug per language but I can not see the your debug info so I am sure if you have enabled WPML SEO like this :

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wrong-site-map-with-yoast/

Can you please check and also provide the debug info for this site ?

Regards,
Andreas
