Background of the issue:
I am trying to create a new translation page using WPML. I encountered an issue while attempting this task.

Symptoms:
I received an error message: 'Error 500: Please check your code, server configuration, or contact your hosting provider.'

Questions:
What could be causing the Error 500 when creating a new translation page?
How can I resolve the Error 500 issue?

However, did you check to see if there is a file called debug.log inside the /wp-content/ folder and if this file contains errors?

If so, please share the errors with me.
