This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing issues with listings not being displayed correctly across different language versions of their site. Specifically, listings created in the default language (Slovenian) were not automatically appearing on the English version of the site, and vice versa.

Solution:
1. We ensured that the default language for listings was set to Slovenian, which is the primary language of the site. This allows the 'Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language' option to function properly.

2. We clarified that the fallback option only works with the primary language, so listings must be created in Slovenian to be automatically translated to English.

3. For listings created in English, which is a secondary language, we recommended manually translating them to Slovenian to ensure they appear on the Slovenian page.

4. We performed a resynchronization of the listings to correct any out-of-sync issues, ensuring that the listings now display correctly on both language versions of the site.

If you're experiencing similar issues, we recommend checking that your listings are set to the default language of your site and manually translating any listings that were created in a secondary language. If you require custom programming work for more complex translation issues, consider contacting one of our certified partners.

Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello,

thank you, everything seems to be working great! Would you mind telling me what you did, as I'm always looking to learn something new with WPML?

One other thing:

I added two new listings, one ona SI page and one on EN page.

Problem is, EN version shows me both listings (which is great)

But SI version does not show me EN listing?

In other words, "Test listing SI" is automaticaly translated to EN version and shows both flags, but "Test listing EN" is not automaticaly translated to SI, therefore showing only one flag. How can I make this work bothways?

Thanks for your reply.

Since your primary language is Slovenian, the listing default language has to be Slovenian too as shown in the attached screenshot. Then, the "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language" option will only work.

I've created a new listing here hidden link and it works now hidden link

Thanks for your reply.

It is because this listing hidden link is not the default language in Slovenian. English is the secondary language.

The fallback option will only work with the primary language.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible without some custom programming work, which is beyond the scope of our support.

At this point, I would suggest you consider contacting one of our certified partners from this link: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-contractors/

Before doing so please have a look also here:

You will get the custom assistance you need to get on with your project.

The only way would be to translate the English listing to Slovenian. Then, it will show on the Slovenian page.

As shown in your screenthos above, I made test listing above default language to be SLOVENIAN, but it still won't show on en page?

What exactly do I need to do with a listing published on EN page, so it's seen on SI page too?
