Background of the issue:
I am trying to change the language URL format setting in WPML from 'Different languages in directories' to 'A different domain per language'. I have entered the French domain (www.leciperhfx.com) and saved the settings. The French domain is set up as an alias of the English domain at the host.
Symptoms:
When I make the change and click 'Save', I get a 'Note Valid' message.
Questions:
Why am I receiving a 'Note Valid' message when trying to save the domain settings?
Is there a specific configuration needed for setting up a different domain per language in WPML?
Thanks for contacting us. I've checked this domain hidden link and I'm getting "Invalid SSL certificate". Could you check? Once you fixed that, could you try validating the domain again and see if it works?
Thanks Kor. We fixed the SSL issue and I was able to make the change in WPML. The French domain is being used now.
Everything looks good, except one thing - when viewing the home page using the French domain (hidden link), some of the images and backgrounds are not displaying on that page. It doesn't look to be an issue on the other French pages using the French domain. Do you know what might be causing that?
Also, when logged into the WordPress dashboard, if I click the French language link when on the home page, it takes me to the English home page/domain (hidden link) and not the French home page. This doesn't happen when I am logged out of WordPress.
Thanks!
