Background of the issue:
I am trying to save the translated version of the homepage of mychoice.pt website. This page has a shortcode that should display featured accommodations from the booking engine, as it shows on the Portuguese version. URL: hidden link

Symptoms:
When I click 'Save and close', the page goes into load mode forever and doesn't close. The areas where the displayed accommodations should appear are blank, and I can't even upload the homepage English version.

Questions:
Why can't I save the translated version of the homepage?
Why are the accommodations not displaying on the English version of the homepage?

I checked the logs and the issue was not the one we investigated, but rather this one.

Uncaught Error: Minified React error #200;

This appears in the browser console so the saving never starts.

Can you try this?

So apply this workaround and try saving it then, does it work?

Hi Bruno,

I did the changes on those files directly on the website hosting service but it did not resolve the problem. The pages still don't finish saving. They stay on the same loop for hours.

To troubleshoot this problem, I'll install the Duplicator plugin and generate packages for further debugging purposes. I'll ensure to exclude all media files to maintain a minimal package size.

You can find more information about the process here:

Please confirm if this approach is acceptable to you!

I successfully deployed the website to my local environment. Initially, it did not work either, but after updating WPML (as shown in my screenshots) and disabling all plugins except WPML, Elementor, and JetEngine, I was able to proceed.

I then accessed the following link: hidden link, added "EN" to the title, and opened it in the translation editor. After that, I was able to save it successfully.

At this stage, I'm not entirely certain whether the issue was due to compatibility with another plugin, if the updates resolved it, or if re-creating the translation jobs was the key fix.

However, I did notice that after updating WPML and its add-ons, no further error logs appeared in the browser console.

Can you try the same on your site?

Hi Bruno,
I updated WPML and add-ons but the problem remains.
Deactivating all other plugins is not an option as we cannot take any chances on the site stop working.

When you say "recreating the translation jobs", do you mean eliminating all the existing translations and start the website translation process from scratch?

No, by this I meant the following:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/#choose-what-to-translate

So send one of these pages through the translation basket, after you made an update. And then open in CTE and check if the issue is still there.

As for the testing in a minimal environment, do you have a staging website perhaps? If not, we could create Cloudways instance and check there, let me know and I can create one and send you instructions.
