This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client wants to temporarily hide the language switcher on their website, which is currently under development.
Solution:
To temporarily hide the language switcher, we recommend the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML -> Languages in your site's dashboard.
2. Here, you can choose not to display the Language Switcher in menus, footers, or any custom Language Switchers you might have added.
3. If the Language Switcher still appears, such as in the case of 'Français' after hiding 'English', ensure that no Language Switcher widgets are active.
4. If issues persist, you might need to check if a Language Switcher is active specifically in the site's menu under WPML -> Languages -> Menu language switcher.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
