Sorry for not being clear, the plugin was never tested by our compatibility team, this mean we cannot confirm its compatibility.

PW WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro also wasn't tested, but we actually have hundreds of WPML clients use it. You have a better chance to make it work with WPML.

Also, even in case you run into issues with PW WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro translations, you can always report it to us, and we can potentially find a workaround that fits your case,

We had 4 tickets of this kind related to PW WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro and both got resolved by applying a workaround provided by us. And we've been in contact with its authors before, too.

Ultimately, if you have the time to invest; we can also contact the authors of this plugin to encourage them to run a proper compatibility test with WPML.

And you are right, https://wpml.org/plugin/ is currently not useful as we disabled the Search and filters options on that page temporarily for maintenance reasons, it should shortly work again.

Actually in order to contact the authors of PW WooCommerce Gift Cards Pro, we would need your help.

You will have to contact them and encourage them to sign up for our compatibility program : https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/

And in case they were not willing to sign up, whenever you find an issue while using their plugin, you will have to contact us, we will then provide you with an access to one of our Sandbox environment where you need to install the plugin and replicate the specific issue.

We could then escalate the issue properly to our compatibility team and find a solution for you,

First of all, to make sure that the emails are being sent in the right language:

-In Pimwick plugins > PW Gift Cards > Settings
-Uncheck "Use the WooCommerce Transactional Email System"

Then the mails are sent in the right langauge.

You may need to add this wpml-config settings to properly translate mail title and heading, that would be under WPML > Settings > Custom XML Configuration : hidden link

Then try translating the emails again,

Alternatively, check if you can find those headings and subjects under WPML > String translation

Also, I totally understand that this might not your usual plugin experience, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing as WPML is a pretty robust and complex plugin, this complexity comes with dozens of functions and tools that no other plugin have.

But of course, we have to be realistic when it comes to compatibility, WordPress eco-systems have hundred thousands of plugins and themes and each one might not be using the necessary multilingual syntax and coding.

So basically we need to work and teach theme and plugin authors how to use the right syntax if they want their theme/plugin to work correctly with WPML (or any other multilingual plugin for that matter)
