My default language is English and I create an English post. Then follow the instructions at https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatically-translating-multiple-translation-jobs-in-bulk/ to auto-translate the post to other languages in bulk.

Hi there,

Thanks for your patience.

Here is the ticket, I would need to take a closer look at your site. So I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons, and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/plugin for these backup needs.

Your following answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site if required. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Thanks!

Hi,

I create a post in a test site with the same content, then perform the same translation on the post. But this time the contents are translated properly.

So, I guess the problem comes from the translation memory. How to clear the existing translation memory?

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

There isn't a specific option to remove the translation memory. But you can use this method https://wpml.org/forums/topic/delete-translation-memory/#post-7514523 to achieve this.

I don't think you have to remove the translation memory. Please try making small changes to the primary language title as doing this will refresh the "Advanced Translation Editor".

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry, that post is "archived". Please use the following workflow.

Please try it and see how it goes for you.

- Create a test or random fresh site, and install WPML on it.

- Connect the other site with your current site following the workflow linked next:

https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/#how-to-connect-your-sites

- Then, Move/Disconnect the site as explained in the following link

https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/#how-to-disconnect-sites

This way, the Translation memory is transferred to the fresh/random site that you disconnect, and you can start from scratch in the current site.

Thanks!
