This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
We have a WordPress website that we want to set-up multiple languages on different subsdomains that we can manage on multisite by utilizing WPML. But when we added subdomain, we could also not see any options for WPML. Backend shows subdomain added but frontend shows no content.

Solution:
Subsites in subdomains + languages in domains (e.g. subsite.fr.test.com) is possible as long as the domain is properly pointed via DNS entry and it does not conflict with another subsite. However, this setup relies on experimental logic and may be prone to bugs. Instead, please refer to our documentation to see which URL formats are fully supported.

We have a WordPress website ([removed] that we want to set-up multiple languages on different subsdomains that we can manage on multisite by utilizing WPML.

We followed the steps here:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/languages-in-domains-for-wordpress-multisite-mode/
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/

But when we added subdomain, we could also not see any options for WPML. Backend shows subdomain added but frontend shows no content. The barebone design is there but dynamic content which is set on edit page, its not there. The default theme it expects is twentytwentytwo but we have a custom theme for our setup and I also set it in Network setup.

Please let me know what we should do. Thanks
