[Resolved] Not all strings in Gravity Forms are picked up for translation
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is unable to translate certain strings in Gravity Forms using WPML on their website built with Beaver Builder. Specifically, strings like 'First', 'Last', 'Required', 'Enter Email', 'Confirm Email', and others are not being picked up for translation. Solution: We recommended the client to ensure they have a backup of their site, which can be done using the UpdraftPlus plugin. Next, we advised trying to translate the strings directly through WPML's String Translation interface. This can be accessed from the WPML menu in the WordPress admin area. The client should search for the strings under the 'gravityforms' text domain and add translations as needed. It was also noted that some strings, such as 'Choose file' and 'Max file size', are browser-dependent and therefore cannot be translated through WPML as they will appear in the language set by the user's browser.
If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems outdated, or if it does not apply to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I have a website using Beaver Builder and Gravity Forms. I am trying to translate all strings in Gravity Forms using WPML. Please see the forms on hidden link and the contact form on each of the Careers pages, e.g. hidden link.
Symptoms:
Not all strings in Gravity Forms are picked up for translation. The name fields, such as First and Last, as well as Required, Enter Email, Confirm Email, etc., cannot be translated. Many fields remain in English and do not get taken up for translation into any of the other target languages.
Questions:
Why are some strings in Gravity Forms not being picked up for translation?
How can I ensure all fields in Gravity Forms are translatable using WPML?
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Hello,
My name is Carlos and I will continue working on this ticket because my colleague Kor is on vacation.
I have checked the issue and I can see all strings from the Contact Form in String Translation, under the gravityforms domain: hidden link
I added the language code at the end of each string so you can find it easier in String Translation, also you can confirm the 'translated strings' with the language code at the end in the frontend: hidden link
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Regards,
Carlos
The only strings that remain untranslated and untranslatable are "Choose file" and "Max file size" on the file submission part - see "Import / export .po" in the attached screenshot.
