After WordPress was automatically updated to version 6.3, the site became very slow: huge server load. Switching between menu tabs in the control panel started taking 40-60 seconds. Query Monitor shows page load time 35-40 seconds. The number of requests to the database is about 8000. About 7000 of them are requests from WPML String Translation. Updating WPML versions to the newest ones did not change the situation.
Rolled back on the test site WordPress to version 6.2.2 - the site starts working. When updating to 6.3 - it crashes again. Disabling all other plugins (Woocommerce and Elementor not disabled) practically does not affect the situation.

My name is Carlos and I will continue working on this ticket

I suspect there might be some issues coming from the server-side because the first time I tried to access the site I got an error, but then it worked fine (in the second attempt to log in).

I can see the performance issue, but I'm not sure if it's caused by WPML because after deactivating all the WPML plugins the site is still very slow. I'd recommend you to:
- Create a full backup of the site
- Update all outdated plugins and themes
- Flush the cache memory
- Deactivate all plugins, including the WPML ones
- Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty
- If the issue disappeared, start by activating the WPML plugins, then the theme and then the rest of the plugins, one by one, until the issue appears again and you find the culprit

Could you tell me the results of the steps described above?

It is not possible to restore the backup as it has over 6Gb. Please create a new backup and exclude the media library so it will take less space.
