This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is unable to register a new WPML site key after de-registering the previous one, due to outdated WPML plugins.
Solution:
We recommend manually updating your WPML plugins by following these steps:
1. Download the latest version of WPML from https://wpml.org/account/downloads/.
2. Disable the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin.
3. Delete the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin (your settings and translations will be saved in the database, so they will not be lost).
4. Upload the newly downloaded WPML plugin by going to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.
5. Activate WPML.
6. Register the plugin.
Note: Since you are using a Multilingual Blog subscription, you cannot update all WPML plugins. We recommend deactivating plugins that you won't be able to update.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check the related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
