Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that the product variations for weight options are consistent across different languages on my website. The products in the category hidden link should have the same weight options in Dutch, English, and German. Example product: hidden link

Symptoms:
The weight options for products are incorrect in the English and German versions. In Dutch, the options are 125 gram and 750 gram, but in English and German, they are 250 grams and 500 grams. The pricing remains correct, but the variations are not as expected.

Questions:
How can this have gone wrong?
How can I fix it quickly with the least amount of manual work?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

Before one of my colleagues gets this ticket assigned I'd recommend you follow these steps:
- Create a full backup of the site
- Go to Woocommerce -> Woocommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency -> Settings tab -> Troubleshooting link (bottom right) -> Select all options and click 'Start' -> Wait for the process to finish and then double-check if the issue disappeared.

Could you share the results of the steps described above so my colleague can continue working on this ticket?

Hey Carlos, it's still loading for already 30 minutes now. Can't be good I suppose? (See right bottom)

I reloaded the page myself (because this would've taken ages) and it didn't work.

Hello There,
I hope you're doing well!

I've taken over this ticket and will be happy to assist you in this matter.

The variations and attributes in the translation should always match those of the default product; however, they will only appear in the translated form. If you're not seeing the variations correctly in the translation, could you please make a small update to the default product and then check by updating the translation?

If you've updated the translation and still don’t see the variations correctly in the translated product, please try these steps:

1. Go to "WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes".
2. Select the attribute linked to the product.
3. At the bottom, you’ll see a button to "Synchronize Attributes". Click this button and wait for the synchronization to complete. Repeat this for all attributes linked to the product.
4. Once done, clear your site and browser caches, then check again.
5. Additionally, you can synchronize the product and variations from the WPML Troubleshooter:
- Go to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting".
- Under the cleanup section, select "Product" from the dropdown and click "Synchronize post taxonomies".
- Repeat this for "Variation".

This should ensure that all variations are synchronized correctly. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hey,

I don't have Attributes assigned, they are different on all products. So within "WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Attributes" I don't have any. So can't translate there either.

I did the additional thing you said but that won't work either. The weird thing is on these two I could translate both in the WPML translator:

hidden link
hidden link

Like you can see, on the English version the options are 125 gram and 750 gram which is what it needs to be.

So please give me an update on how to fix it that works. You can look into it yourself if I make an account as well, no problem for me.

Regards,
Jeffrey

Hello There,
Thank you for the update!

I understand that you're using a custom attribute for the product, which is fully supported by WooCommerce Multilingual. Translating custom attributes and their variations shouldn't be an issue.

However, I have checked our system and noticed that this product was translated several months ago. At that time, the variations in the default language were set to 250 grams, 500 grams, and 1000 grams. Since that initial translation, I haven't found any updates or new translations for this product.

Could you please verify that the product translation was updated correctly after the recent changes? Here’s how you can do it:

1. Open the default product in the WordPress editor.
2. Scroll down to the "Variations" tab.
3. Open each variation, make any minor changes to activate the save button, then click "Save".
4. Update the product by clicking "Update".
5. Once saved, update the translation by clicking the "Update icon" (the "curved arrow" icon) in the language meta section.
6. Check if the variation details display correctly in the translation editor. Complete any missing translations and save.

Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I'll be happy to take a closer look if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
