Background of the issue:
I need to create a second language menu on my site hidden link, but I don't want to translate products and pages.

Symptoms:
I tried to sync the menu, but this functionality is not active.

Questions:
How can I create a second language menu without translating products and pages?
Why is the menu sync functionality not active?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

To help you faster, I've enabled debug information for this support ticket. Please see this link for how to get this information from your site and give it to us: http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

The automatic menu sync will only works if we translate the posts and pages to secondary languages. As a workaround you can create menus manually in secondary languages. Refer to this article for more details - https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/#fully-custom-create-menus-manually

Also, you can choose the *Translatable use a translation if available or fallback to original language* option for the Pages and Products Post Types. It will allows to list the primary language posts in secondary language without translation or content duplication - https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/#fully-custom-create-menus-manually

Hello,

Thank you for the login information. I can create the Menu Items in Arabic manually using the Custom Links feature of the WordPress Menu. This is only a workaround for the time being becuase the Pages and Posts are not translated into Arabic yet.

Please check the following screencast for more details and let us know your feedback.
