Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the Kadence Advanced Form (Adv) block on my site hidden link using WPML. I have followed the instructions provided in the WPML forum and Kadence forum, but the issue persists. I need to use the advanced block because it has features I require. All texts in this new Form (Adv) are already translated, but I cannot see them in the ATM or among the strings.
The Form is on this site
Swedish: hidden link
Finnish: hidden link (Form translations not visible)

I have WP 6.7 and WPML 4.6.14 installed

Symptoms:
The Kadence Advanced Form (Adv) block is not translatable, and the translated texts do not appear in the ATM or among the strings.

Questions:
Why are the translated texts in the Kadence Advanced Form (Adv) block not appearing in the ATM or among the strings?
Is there a way to translate the Kadence Advanced Form (Adv) block without duplicating the form for each language and translating them manually?

Hi,

We know that not all the new widgets from the Kadence Blocks plugin are currently translatable. We state this in the following errata page.

https://wpml.org/errata/kadence-blocks-new-blocks-are-not-compatible-yet/

Please give me access to your site and explain how to see this issue so we can investigate it further and try to help. Alternatively, you can directly contact the Kadence team.

If you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me. I'm enabling a private message for the following reply.

Hi again,
I forgot to mention that I have added this XML configuration before I contacted you last week: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/kadence-form-adv-block-not-translateable/

It is still there, so if it should be deleted pls let me know.

Kind regards,

Pamela

Hi, Pamela.

Thanks for the access details.

I have discovered that the custom post type Forms (kadence_form) was set to Not translatable in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation. So, I put it to Translatable. Please see the attached screenshot. Then, I edited the Julbeställning in Kadence -> Forms, and I could see the possibility of translating the form into Finish. Please see the attached screenshot. I clicked the plus icon, translated the form, and completed it. (I didn't actually translate the form; I just copied the Swedish strings and added FI in front of the first three strings. Actually I translated the first one with Google. Nimi - Nimi). When I completed the translation and refreshed the Finish page, I could see the translations showing. Please see the attached screenshot fi-form-ok.jpg. Now you need to edit the translation again and insert the real translations. But as you can see it works.

Can you please confirm that this issue is solved now?

Note, I think you should keep the XML you added in WPML -> Settings -> Custom XML Configuration.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi,
thank you for not giving up 🙂
I've also tested in WPML settings and made Kadence Form translatable, but couldn't see any different, perhaps I only looked after the translation fields on page "hidden link" and not in the Kadence Form meny....

I have completed the translation, and there are only two things that need some adjustments (image included):

1. The Finnish form has not the same styling as the original Swedish (for example rounded field borders and spacing between fields)
2. The radio buttons and heading for them "Välj avhämtningsplats" cannot be found in WPML

Can you please update the XML so that the radio buttons can be translatated and also the rest of the styling.

Best regards,

Pamela

Hi, Pemala.

I'm glad that the main problem with the form is solved now.

I can see the other problems you mentioned but cannot solve them immediately. I'm consulting our second-tier supporters about this. When I have their answer, I'll update you here.

Please note that my weekend is Friday-Saturday, and I'll be able to continue to check this issue and help you on Sunday.

I appreciate your patience.
Itamar.

Hi,
Thank you for your information, I'm really happy that you forwarded this to your support.
I made a quick-fix for the radio-options, they now in both languages.

Kind regards,

Pamela
