This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to complete the Spanish translation of the homepage, but the menu text and header button 'neem contact op' are not translated to Spanish.
Solution:
1. For translating the menu text, first ensure that the page title translations are updated as these titles will appear in the menu after synchronization. You can synchronize the menu by navigating to WPML->WP Menu Sync.
2. For the header button 'neem contact op', follow these steps:
- Synchronize the menu in WPML->WP Menu Sync.
- Go to String Translations and translate the necessary strings.
- Re-run the synchronization.
For more detailed guidance, refer to the WPML documentation on translating menus.

Hi there! 🙂

Welcome to WPML support. I’m happy to help you with this issue.

Can you let us know how the texts are added? Is this added by some theme plugins or you added it using some theme options?

Can you follow this two steps and let me know if it helps.

- Go to WPML->Strings Translations->Auto Register strings for translations
- Enable the "Look for strings while pages are rendered" option
- Now visit the page on front-end where the string is shown, this will automatically register strings from that page
- Now go to WPML->Strings Translations->Auto Register strings for translations and disable the options
- Search for the strings in WPML->String Translations and translate it

Or

- Go to WPML->String Translations
- At the bottom of the String Translation table, click on “Translate text in admin screens”
- Search for the strings there and see if you can find them.
- If you can find it, select it and add it using the “Add to string translation” button
- Click on “Return to String Translations”
- Translate it

To assist you further, I’ll need more information. Could you please go to WPML > Support > Debug Information and share the details in your next reply? You can find step-by-step instructions here: http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello there,

I have removed the login details from the forum as it's public.

Did you tried the steps I mentioned in my previous reply?

To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.

So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.

Hello there,

For string: hidden link

For menu items, when you translate the page, the page title will be shown on the menu after the menu is synchronized, so if you want to change menu titles, change the page title translations first and run the synchronization. https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

Hello there,

As mentioned in the documentation for custom links you will need to follow the below steps:

- Synchronize the menu in WPML->WP menu synch
- Go to string translations and translate it
- Re-run the synchronization.

I have done those steps in this video, please check and see if it's clear now.
