We have been having issues with the automatic translation erroring out and translations reverting back to old versions.

The live site is a multisite so another idea was, is it possible the multisite's translations are overriding each other? Is there a configuration issue there?

Hi Anne,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

is it possible the multisite's translations are overriding each other

Yes, if you use one automatic translation on other sites, that means the translation memory is also shared between the sites. If you change/update one segment on one site, it will be automatically updated on other sites when using the automatic translation.

Please read more on these documents:

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Thanks for the information.

We have already connected the sites for the multi site environment and have some shared translations in the glossary.

Is there a way to sync all the string translations across the sites automatically?

Is there a way to bulk import and manage glossary translations?

One other potential issue is that we currently have translation mode set up as translate some, since we do have International EN as the primary lang, then also have USA EN as one of the secondary languages. We would prefer to change the mode to translate everything (hoping that can clean up some of the overrides).

Is there any planning on the WPML roadmap to better support International EN and USA EN?

Could the current translation mode cause some of the translations to revert back to old / incorrect translations?

The website is on WPEngine, could there be any server configuration or caching exclusions we should consider to keep the translations from reverting back?

What else should we be looking at as a potential cause for translations to keep reverting back?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

We can handle one issue/question per ticket only so please create new tickets for new questions. I can help you to split this ticket into new ones for new questions.

Now, please focus on the issue with the automatic translation reverting back. Can you please share some screenshots of the issue on your site? Please let me know a specific page/post URL where you see the translation is reverted back.

From my understanding, I don't see the translation mode that can cause this issue. For server caching, I need to know where the translation is reverted back, on our server or on your site with my question above to answer your questions.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
