Working on an online classes' website that sells classes using Woocommerce Bookings.
We'd like to translate some products (ex: "Apprendre ABC en Français" to "Learn ABC in English") WITHOUT sharing availability (classes in French will have different schedule/options/techer/etc. from classes in English).
I found how to not translate wc_bookings, but not how to prevent copy/translations of Woocommerce Products with "booking" type's options.
I am afraid that is not possible out of box and not expected, as translated product / should share the same availability, it is the same product, just translated.
You can create a new one in 2nd language manually, which is not connected to the original language product, thus won't share any information, and are not same product.
Another way would be manually adjusting related custom fields from WPML > Settings, but that could cause other issues, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Following your recommendation, I do not translate products.
In WMPL/Settings/Post Types Translation I set "Bookings (wc_booking)" to not "Not translatable"
When booking/ordering, a duplicate booking in the second language (with an ID of the original booking + 1) is still created, and displays this error message "It appears the booking product associated with this booking has been removed." How can I prevent WPML from translating/duplicating bookings?
as I have said we do not recommend this way as it can cause another issue as you can see from the example shared.
What I recommended is having booking left as TRANSLATABLE, and then not translating products, but creating new product A in EN and new product B in FR, not connected to each other. Separate products.
That way clients can book A in EN or B in FR; without sharting availability or booking options.
