This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the old text of a 404 template is showing up in the translation queue, even after making changes to the German version. The client also inquires about receiving notifications when changes are made to the German version that require new translations.
Solution:
1. Edit the template in German and make a small change to the title or content.
2. Save the changes and update the translation to send the updated content to the translation editor.
3. Go to WPML > Translation Management and send the template for translation, selecting a translator. This will enable the client to receive notification emails about the waiting translation.
4. To receive notifications, ensure that the option is enabled in WPML > Settings > Translation Notifications tab.

Hey,

I am just busy bulk copy-editing our website. I just wanted to translate the 404 template, which I have recently changed in German, however, in the translation queue, the old text is showing up - also in the translation.

How can I start the copy-editing of the English draft page with the current version of the German text.

Also, I would like to know: What happens when I edit something in the German version. Will I get notified by WPML that there is some new translation work to be done?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards

Joy

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

You can edit the template in German > Make a small change to the title/content > Save > Update the translation to send the fresh content to the translation editor.

After making changes, you can go to WPML > Translation Management > Send the template for translation and select a translator. In this case, you will be able to receive a notification email about the waiting translation. The notification is opted in WPML > Settings > Translation Notifications tab.

Refer documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/#assigning-the-translations-to-a-translator

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
