This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the WPML string translation stopped working after migrating their site to EKS (Amazon). The site is running on PHP version 8.3, and all plugins were updated. Despite troubleshooting, only a complete reset of the plugin seemed to work.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Create a full site backup.
2. Downgrade the PHP version to v8.2.
3. Update any outdated plugins or themes.
4. Flush any cache memory that might exist.
5. Activate the WordPress debug mode by following the steps described in this guide: https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/
6. Activate the String Translation plugin.
7. Check if there is any fatal error in the debug.log file located within the wp-content folder.

If these steps do not resolve the issue or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to migrate the site to EKS (Amazon), and after migration, the WPML string translation stopped working. The site is running on PHP version 8.3, and everything was updated to the latest version. We disabled the plugin and went to troubleshooting, but the only thing that worked was to reset the plugin completely. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
The WPML string translation stopped working after migrating the site to EKS. I expected to see the string translation, but I got nothing.

Questions:
Why did the WPML string translation stop working after migrating to EKS?
What steps can I take to resolve the issue without resetting the plugin completely?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

According to the description of the issue, the cause of the problem was the migration and not the WPML plugins.

I recommend migrating the site again, or activating the WordPress debug mode as described in this link: https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/ and check if there is any fatal error on the debug.log file located within the wp-content folder.
