[Resolved] Since installing WPML plugins the site has become extremely slow
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client installed WPML on their website and experienced significant performance issues. The site became slow and unresponsive, and disabling WPML restored normal performance. The issues persisted despite updating plugins and themes, and the WooCommerce Force Default Variant plugin and the theme Savoy were suspected to be contributing to the problem. Solution: We recommended the client to update all outdated functionalities and provided a checklist to enhance site performance, available at https://wpml.org/forums/topic/how-can-i-improve-performance-of-a-slow-site/#post-15350474. We escalated the issue to our 2nd tier support for deeper analysis. It was found that the WooCommerce Force Default Variant plugin and the nm_template_loop_attributes function in the Savoy theme were causing the issues. We advised against using the WooCommerce Force Default Variant plugin and recommended upgrading WPML plugins to the latest version for performance improvements.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I've installed WPML on my website hidden link, and I'm trying to resolve performance issues that have arisen since the installation.
Symptoms:
The website has become extremely slow and unresponsive after installing WPML. Disabling WPML restores normal performance, but deactivating other plugins or switching to a default theme does not help. See the attached images.
Questions:
How can I resolve the performance issues caused by WPML?
Are there specific settings in WPML that could be affecting site speed?
Hello,
My name is Carlos and I will continue working on this ticket
1.- Please share a URL where the performance issue can be seen.
2.- Share the access credentials in your next message that I have set as private. Also confirm you created a full site backup that you can use to restore the site if necessary.
Before I create a copy of the site, could you update all outdated functionalities that appear in this link: hidden link and then double-check if the performance issue disappeared?
I've updated everything. The code profiler plugin is not familiar to me (I assume you've installed it), but I can't update it. The Smush Pro plugin I can't update because the license only works on the main domain and not the staging domain. I've updated it on the live site as well and it doesn't resolve the issue. Updating the other plugins also didn't resolve the issue.
I have created a copy of the site and sent it to our 2nd tier specialists for further analysis. I will keep you updated on the evolution of this ticket.
This is an update: our 2nd tier specialists with our compatibility specialists are taking a deeper look at this issue that is coming from the WooCommerce Force Default Variant plugin and the nm_template_loop_attributes function in the theme Savoy.
It would be great if you could contact the Savoy and WooCommerce Force Default Variant plugin support so they can be aware of these issues.
I will get back to you as soon as I get more information.
