This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to translate the read more button text in a product slideshow, created with the Smart Post Show Pro plugin, without having to translate the entire slideshow.

Solution:
We recommended that for each language, the client should create the slideshows for all the respective translations and then use the slideshow shortcodes based on the language (as it was already instructed by the Smart Post Show Pro plugin's author on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSAiYoa3JNs). Additionally, we suggested that the client contact the plugin authors or support to discuss the matter, as the plugin was not on WPML's compatible plugin list. We also encouraged the client to ask the plugin authors to join WPML's Go Global Program, where they can collaborate with our compatibility team to make their product multilingual. More information about the Go Global Program can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/.

If this is the situation, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. I have a website with several product slideshows. The products have been translated, and there are just 4 words left to be translated. I wonder if there is a way to do that, that allows me to translate those words without having to translate the whole slideshow.

This is a page with the slideshow: hidden link

Hi,

I've checked a bit further and it seems that the "Ver más" is not being set by the slideshow plugin but from the custom fields you've set up.

Could you please help me with a video showing where and how "Ver más" is set (you can use loom.com or monosnap.com and share the link with me)?

Thanks,
Marsel

Hi Luca,

Thank you for the video.

I was able to check further and unfortunately, the only way possible to properly translate the slideshow is as recommended by the Smart Post Show Pro plugin's author.

In that way, for each language, you'll create the slideshows with all the respective translations and after use the slideshow shortcodes based on the language.

* I noticed that other texts are not translated as well on the slider, like "Interfaz" and "Conectividad".

As I mentioned before, it would be better if you could reach out to the authors or support of the plugin and discuss with them regarding this matter. As they are currently not in WPML's compatible plugin list, you can also request them to join the Go Global Program of WPML where they can work with our compatibility team to make their product multilingual.

More information regarding the Go Global Program can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/

Kind regards,
Marsel
