We use WordPress 6,1,1 with WPML and ACF Pro.
We have a translation agency that sends the translations via Crowdin. We don't want manual translations via the ATE nor via the classic editor. Yet, people keep hitting the translate buttons which starts jobs, making the related page unavailable to the job creation to be sent to crowdin. Which has to then be manually fixed by us.

Is it possible to remove all access to buttons launching ATE ?

Thank you!

Hello there

Thank you for contacting us. I am happy to help you.

So as I can understand you wish to remove access from users to see wpml translation buttons.

I am afraid there is no easy way to achieve this but you can do this :

If the above user is not set as translators or they are not administrators, they cannot add or edit translations.

Only administrators and Translators can do this.

You can read more here:

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-to-set-up-local-translators-and-language-pairs/

So maybe you can use the above ( with the opposite way of course) in order to achieve what you need.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes or if you need any further assistance. I'll gladly help you. 🙂

Regards,
Andreas
