Hello,

Please go to WPML > Taxonomy Translation and choose your Categories.

Now inside the bottom section, click the translation for Category Labels and Slugs.

The slugs seems not to have a valid translation.

It is appearing on your site as: categor&iacute

Seems you translated it to: "categoría"

Adjust the translation to: categoria

You can use hyphens, but do not use any special characters or uppercase letters, as this is part of the URL.

If this will not solve the issue, please let us know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I did what you mentioned, I synchronized the taxonomies, but it did not solve the issue, the categories still do not appear.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I checked the issue, and the categories didn't appear because the post count in the translated categories was 0.

I was able to fix the issue by the following steps:

1- Go to WPML-> Support-> Troubleshooting
2- Run the functions one by one (Kindly check this hidden link)
3- Clear the cache and check the translated blog page (hidden link)

Kindly check this guide to know more about troubleshooting options. (https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-troubleshooting-options/)

Best regards,
Osama
