Background of the issue:
I am trying to display an English translation of a Chinese post on my website hidden link. The Chinese version displays correctly, but the English version does not.
Symptoms:
The English translation of a post shows an error message: 'This page doesn’t seem to exist.'
Questions:
Why does the English translation of my post show an error message?
How can I fix the issue with the English translation not displaying?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
Please make sure that the translated page is published, not a draft. In order to check that, please go to Pages-> All pages, switch the language using the top admin bar language switcher, and check the translated page.
Thanks for your reply. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
the issue is now disappeared. I didn't do anything but created a new staging. Then I found the post is displayed correctly on both original and staging system. It's very absurd.
Would you still need to take a look at my system?
