This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is trying to translate content from English to Serbian Latin using WPML for a site under development. They need to translate WooCommerce strings and 13,000 products. The client is unsure if Serbian Latin is supported by WPML's automatic translation services and if the necessary translations are available.
Solution:
1. Serbian Latin translations for plugins like WooCommerce are not directly provided by WPML but can be sourced from the WordPress community if available. Check here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/
2. If Serbian Latin is activated on your site and available in the community translations, they will automatically download.
3. If no translation is available for Serbian Latin, you will need to manually translate the WooCommerce strings using WPML's String Translation. For guidance, visit: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
4. For automatic translation of products, only the Microsoft translation engine supports Serbian Latin. More information on automatic translation can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/ and https://ate.wpml.org/mt_langs
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
