This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needs to change the synchronization between two pages in different languages on their website.
Solution:
To adjust the default language of a translated page, we recommend the following steps:
1. Disconnect the translated page from the original page. You can find guidance on how to do this here: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/.
2. Reconnect the pages and select the desired language with the option 'Make [Language] the original language for this page'. Detailed instructions are available here: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/.

If the provided solution does not directly address your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. To change the default language of a translated page, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the translated page from the original page using this documentation: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/.
2. Link the pages back and select the desired language with the option 'Make [Language] the original language for this page', as described in https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-link-already-translated-pages/.

If this is not what you are asking, can you please elaborate a little more so I can better understand? Sometimes screenshots illustrating what you mean may go a long way to clarify what words fail to transmit, so if you like, use "upload an image" below the comment area.
