1) Page does not render in original language, CSS Is roasted, is fine when deactivating WPML. However, translated page is fine.

2) Prior issue unsolved: Menu translation does not work and does not render language switch as well

Hello,

I understand right, that the DE version is the original content?

Does this CSS issue disappear once you disable WPML?

If so, can you narrow down the issue to a problem inside your Child Theme?

Further, the menu will get translated this way:

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

yes it still occurs once I activate the plugin, and is just fine without the plugin. I tried deactivating all plugins, and only activate WPML and the errors occur.

About translating the menus: I did have a running translation already, yet as I changed some items, I wanted to update the translations, but they only provide the site name as menu items, and no individual translation...

Hey guys,

still having the same issues. As soon as I activate WPML CMS all css blows.
I can't really narrow the problem down as requested, as I have no lead for this specific error.

Best
Sebastian

Hello,

If the issue persists when running the site with WPML only, then it might be an issue between theme, or in this case Avada Child Theme and WPML.

Did you try changing to the Avada Parent theme to solve this issue? If so, then maybe some code in your functions.php child might be causing the problem.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better for a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “All In One WP Migration” on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT

Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

The steps are also shown in this video: hidden link

Hi Andreas,

I'll be sending you the details in the next call. In the meanwhile I tried changing from Child to main theme, but it didn't change anything. I have now deleted duplicate pages, and set up a strictly German page deactivating WPML as this is the only way to run the page.

Apparently however, there were some English original pages I have been working on, with German content which is odd, when I reactivated WPML it occured that some pages are German, and some are English by definitition of WPML.

Basically you can go forward. However, there are also a lot of backups from the past, an actual backup, as well as a staging page where these errors did not occur.

Best and thanks for your efforts,
Sebastian
