Hi!

When translating some posts and pages on our site i can find fields that don't correspond to their contents shown in the Builder ( we use AVADA Theme ) or the frontend.

For example links pointing to a development URL although the dev. URL remains nowhere in the Database and the frontend is correct.

When i change something in the builder that is not the faulty field, the faulty field will get duplicated in the Translation editor. Changes made to the "old" field will not affect the frontend at all.

I think this ticket is related, although its supposed to be fixed for a few years now: https://wpml.org/errata/duplicated-fields-in-translation-editor-for-page-builders-divi-visual-composer/

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) Could you please try the following steps and let me know if that helped?

1- Take a database backup
2- Go to WPML-> Support-> Troubleshooting
3- Run the troubleshooting functions one by one (Kindly check this hidden link)
4- Edit the page in the default language
5- Make a minor edit and update it
6- Update the translation

Kindly let me know the result of the above steps.

2) It's not related to the issue, but according to your Debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased. PHP memory is fine, but WordPress uses 40Mb as default. The minimum requirements for WPML are 128Mb. (Kindly check this page https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the **/* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */** line:

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for your update. Could you please share an example of the problematic fields/pages?

Also, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Thanks for your cooperation

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I need access to check the issue on your live site or if you have a staging site where you can replicate the issue.

If you can't give us access to your site, I think it won't be possible to provide a copy of the site to check the issue on a local server, so please let me know how we could check it.

Best regards,
Osama
