Dear Sir/Madam,

I visit https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/ but still no idea how to translate the attribute, this article describe the translation using Setup Wizard but how can I translate manually?

I want to translate the attached attribute, please advise how I can do.

I have a product category 'Health Care', I did translate it from Term Translation, Traditional Chinese is the default language, please advise how I can show the translated category from the category page?

Best regards,

Kelvin.

Hi Kelvin,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you.

- Could you please tell me if the attribute you are trying to translate is a global attribute or a custom one?

* For the global attributes you can: go to WP-Admin -> WooCommerce -> WCML -> Attributes tab, and translate the attribute you need from there.

- As for the translation issue of the product category 'Health Care', could you check if it is possible to translate it from the WPML -> String translation page?

---

It might not be related to the issue, but according to your debug.info, the WP memory limit needs to be increased, WordPress uses 40Mb as default and the minimum requirements for WPML are 128 MB. (Kindly check this page: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/)

You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file right before the line: /* That's all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

/* Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

Looking forward to your reply,
Marsel

Dear Marsel,

I assume all products have the brand attribute, it should be global but whether I created is global or custom, could you please advise me how I can add a global attribute?

Refer to the screenshot I attached, there is not search result from my String Translation.

I did increase the WP memory limit.

I think I know how to create the global product attribute, it is from the Product Attribute page, I did able to translate the attribute name from String Translation, by the way, how can I translate the custom attribute name and its value?

Still need your help to the product category translation

1 - Regarding the translation of the global attribute, you can check this video on how to add/translate a global attribute, the example is using an attribute "Color" by the logic is the same: hidden link

2 - As for the custom attribute, you can add the custom attribute while adding a new product and when you translate it on ATE you should be able to see the attribute label and value available for translation.

3 - Regarding the product category translation, I will split this ticket and we can continue troubleshooting that issue on it. In order to be able to focus in providing solutions and helping others that might be having the same issues we do have a policy of one issue per ticket.
We will continue on this ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/split-product-category-translation/

Let me know if the translation with the attributes works out, or if you have any questions.
