Hi,

WPML uses credits to calculate the cost of your translations. Each translated word is worth a certain number of credits based on which translation engine you use:

DeepL (default) – 2 credits per word
Google Translate – 2 credits per word
Microsoft – 1 credit per word

Please see https://wpml.org/account/buy-credits-for-automatic-translation/.

We offer "Pay-as-go" credits and packages of prepaid credits to purchase: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/.

Do you have any specific questions I can answer you?

Best Regards
Marcel

But how pay as you go works. Means its a flow that after first 2000 free creds if we use 8000 then $0.75 will charge and after those 8000 creds finish then for 10000 creds $0.70 will charge and so on. Total of all prices.

OR

if we use 40000000 creds total in month so you will charge only $0.10 in total.

Hi,

At the end of the month, we will charge you based on the number of credits you used during the course of the month. With this option, your first 2,000 credits are free, and the price-per-credit goes down the more you translate over the month. If you don't translate anything, you pay nothing.

You can calculate the price here: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-pricing/#how-automatic-translation-works.

Let's say your site uses 10000 words. Then with DeepL or Google, you need 40k credits. That would be a total of 25$. The same for Azure would be 13$.

Best Regards
Marcel
