This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing an 'invalid' error message when attempting to save the English language sub-domain as https://en.engear.tv. Solution: We recommend first unchecking the Validate on Save option and saving the settings. Next, resave the permalinks from Settings>Permalinks. After these steps, clear all types of caches to ensure that English posts and pages are accessible in the frontend. If the issue persists, follow these steps to verify the DNS settings of the subdomain: 1) Create a text file named

Welcome to the WPML support forum. Before passing this thread to my colleague, I would like to share some suggestions and possible solutions for the issues you mentioned.
Please uncheck the *Validate on Save* option and save the settings and also resave the permalinks from Settings>>Permalinks. Then, clear all types of caches and make sure you can access English posts and pages as expected in the frontend. Maybe it would be a false warning.
If the problem remains, please try the following steps to verify the subdomain has the correct & same DNS settings.
1) Create a text file(for example WPMLTest.txt)
2) Upload it to the root directory of hidden link
3) Then make sure you can access the file from the main domain & the subdomain like the following
Basically what we want to do is to Publish a story in Bahasa Melayu(hidden link) and then WPML will automatically translated in English and published it to the (hidden link)
Current scenario:
I manage to save the subdomain hidden link after uncheck the *Validate on save*, then click safe for setting > permalink, clear cache. I've log out and log in both site.
Created the test file here hidden link
but
throw 404 for this url hidden link
Tried published a story in hidden link and translated in English but it doesn't go to en.engear.tv.
Attached is our dns settings for both engear.tv and en.engear.tv.
Please advise if WPML plugin is able to translate and auto publish to subdomain.
It looks like your second domain is not configured correctly. Have you tried to add the entire domain to the settings en.engear.tv? Configure it as an alias in the server settings.
Hello, Andrey, the subdomain "en" in the DNS is the actual and stand-alone English site (en.engear.tv) for the Malay language site engear.tv.
So, "en.engear.tv" is not a redirect from engear.tv, therefore it's set up as an A record.
The key question is can WPML post translated articles from the Malay language site engear.tv to the stand-alone English site en.engear.tv? And how to make it work in WPML?
I appreciate your feedback. It is now clear to me.
The key question is can WPML post translated articles from the Malay language site engear.tv to the stand-alone English site en.engear.tv? And how to make it work in WPML?
It won't be possible to set it up with WPML in that manner because it is a separate WordPress installation. You can add en.engear.tv to the WPML settings, but it will only redirect to the homepage of en.engear.tv.
The "A Different Domain Per Language" option and the article mentioned assume that you have a single WordPress installation for all domains. In that case, the secondary domain will point to the translated articles.
So, Andrey, there is absolutely no way to make WPML work for a subdomain site on a separate WordPress installation, in this case en.engear.tv? If that could be sorted out it would be very helpful. We really hope that WPML would be useful for our work.
I’m afraid there is currently no option available for this. I also haven’t heard of anyone achieving this in any way. I apologize if this information is disappointing, but WPML is not designed to function in that manner.
