Translation Management

Translation Management is WPML’s central dashboard for choosing what website content to translate and managing your translation progress.

Centralized Translation Hub

Manage all your site’s translations from a single point with WPML’s Translation Management. Select specific sections or opt for a complete translation of all pending content.

Real-Time Translation Tracking

Track the progress of translations in real time. WPML provides clear status updates for each item, helping you quickly identify content that needs attention or updates.

Versatile Translation Options

Translate yourself, collaborate with your team, connect with a professional agency, or leverage WPML’s AI-powered automatic translation.

Translation Management is included in WPML’s Multilingual CMS and Multilingual Agency accounts. After installing and configuring WPML, you can access it via WPML → Translation Management.

Using WPML’s Translation Management

Choose What to Translate

WPML’s Translation Management shows you a list of all the content on your site. If you have just a few pages, choose the ones that you want. If you have a large site with a lot of content, start with the filter to locate the content that you want to translate.

See an Overview and Volume Estimate

As you select content for translation, you’ll see the word count estimate updating. It’s an estimate and not a final number because the Translation Management screen doesn’t take into account your site’s Translation Memory (what you’ve translated already).

Choose how to translate

Once you’re done selecting the content for translation, it’s time to choose how to translate. You can always translate yourself, without any limitations. In order to have your own team of translators, go to the Translators tab under WPMLTranslation Management and set them up first. From there, you can also enable a translation service. You’ll need to have credits to use WPML’s AI Automatic Translation.
