After translating Woocommerce products there are no product images appearing anymore on the translated product page.

It is not possible to add images manually.

Sync the settings have not helped (in Woocommerce Multilingual and Multicurrency).

The chosen pictures are smaller than 1000x1000 pixels, the error message occurs yet.

Hi there,

It looks like this issue is not caused by WPML but it is more likely to be from WordPress or WooCommerce itself.

The error regarding the image sizes, does it happen when WPML is deactivated?

see the following thread:

Meanwhile, I have changed the editor type, so the issue does not occur anymore.
My issue is resolved now. Thank you!

Hey Bobby,
unfortunately, the issues were occurring again.
But I could find the issue: if the plugin String Translation is deactivated, the issue is not occurring.
So I have to deactivate this plugin when updating translated products.
Once the products are translated and saved, I can activate the plugin String Translation again, the pictures are shown yet.
But basically, it is a WPML issue.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby

Hello,

I have tried to reproduce the issue, however, I am not able to.

These are the steps I took.

1. Go to Products
2. Create a new product in German (wpml test)
3. add a picture that I uploaded smaller than 1000x1000
4. update and it saves OK
5. Now I add a translation and that works ok as well.

Am I missing a step?

Hi Bobby,
thanks for replying.
I have checked it as well, it seems it is a temporary issue.
Now we are considering copying the page to a new shop, perhaps there has been something running very wrong, which was not the fault of WPML.
But one thing remains: Maybe you know why some (hundreds) images, which are not displayed, were created in the media library with a URL hidden link (without the path to the uploads folder).
I cannot find a way for deleting them.

Glad to hear that !

Regarding the media issue, I can see in your image it's pointing to a translated version, however, what about the default media, does it relate to an existing media?

It looks like some sort of corruption in the database or with these medias, this is not something I would say is typical of WPML

I also think it's a database problem. I disabled all plugins except Woocommerce but the problem still occurs.
When String Translation is enabled, the problem occurs, but sometimes it doesn't.
I will recommend the store owner rebuild the shop or live with this problem.
Is there a way to save the translations to carry over to a new shop base?
We would connect the shop to a new database that had WordPress installed previously.

I can only think of WP All Import with WPML All Import glue plugin.

See the following documentation here:
