Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support, I will be glad to help you.
For existing translations, you need to update the original post/page to apply the new settings.
So please try the following steps:
- Edit the page in the default language
- Make a small change to any text content (You can undo the change later)
- Update the page then update the translation
Please create a full database and website backup then go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page, and click the following:
- Clear the Cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Fix WPML table collation
- Set language information
- Fix post type assignment for translations
If that didn't help, I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) so I can investigate this issue further.
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.
❌ Please backup your database and website before providing us with access details ❌
If you don't see the form below, please don't add your credentials as they will be publicly exposed:
The plugin will create a package file that you can download then upload again to Google Drive or Dropbox and share the download link in the next reply which I have marked as private. Then I’ll escalate this issue to our developers for further investigation.
