I'm still digesting the video you have provided. I just realised maybe there are misunderstanding.

Some articles, it's supposed DO NOT have a Source Language..Because it didn't have to be translated, it's only serving a specific market..

For example, some Japanese articles, only has japanese, and don't even have an English to be translated.

Some english articles, only serving EU and don't need to translate to others..

I will set geotargeting for these articles.

I just wanna ensure , it's actually not a problems.

And I wanna double confirm, if it's the "Database" issue you mentioned?

These WPML language data were actually imported by me and it's correct.

All pages and content Must have a source language because whether they are translated or not is not relevant. Every single thing in your site must have a source language (the initial language of the content).

Our Dev needs a dump of the site that has the issue in order to continue debugging the issue. could be the clone or the main site (or both). Would you be so kind as to upload it somewhere like gdrive or any other similar platform and share the download link with us?

I've removed all the menus including the English one, will try to recreate and sync again to see if the issue will be fixed.

About the source lanauge of posts, I actually refer to the instruction here if it makes sense.

Those instructions are ok, because the plugin will do the rest in those cases.

Let me know how things go, but if possible always delete first, import or recreate later.

Dear Alejandro,

Can you please check this video?
hidden link

I think I have a good news, after deleting all the menus from default languages and the translated one, and recreate it, seems that the previous issues have been fixed!

BUT I encountered another issue that I demonstrate in the video, I hope this one will be easier to fix but can you please advise on this?

- Create english menu
- Menu sync into Japanese for example
- go back to appearance > menu, and check the Japanese menu
- go back to english menu and continue to create menu
- all the posts under english menu interface has become japanese
- I'm not able to search English posts any more
- even adding the Japanese posts to the menu and save, it won't save anything.
- I've tried to clear cache from wpml troubleshooting

Thank you!

Do you have a server-side cache by any chance?

Because that issue with the Japanese language? that happens when you have the site is in Japanese. Try to do something. when you switch to another language, flush the cache of the browser or reload the page and see if the language is correct this time?

I tried to recreate this before on the clone, when I was checking the menu issue and I could only recreate it on a browser called ARC, and it was because of my browser's cache. Only managed to recreate it when i switched between languages very often.

Can you give it a try?
