George Pardalis

I wanted to change the wp admin login URL — and I had our site working in the following way:

ENGLISH: hidden link
FRENCH: hidden link

But now the login URL includes the subdirectory, which gives a 404 after successful login.

So I wanted to change to subdomains: ie. en.chantslibres.org and fr.chantslibres.org but when I click on this (and also pass session arguments by POST), as you can see in the screen shot I've attached, it adds the correct subdomain to english but in french (the default) it ignores the subdomain AND both times, the /fr/ directory still is showing up in the URL.

Why? I've cleared caches and saved the changes but they don't take and revert back.

I'm confused.. please take a look and thanks for your help !

George

Hello George,

it could be something that is altering your website URL.

Please try to switch to the WP default theme and disable all other plugins, leaving active only WPML plugins.

Please make a backup before proceeding.

Please also check Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) / Site Address (URL).

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen
