Problem:
While working on a website with multiple languages, images for the Portuguese version of the product pages aren't displaying despite recreation of translations. The user checked error logs but couldn't identify the issue. Additionally, an error causing site hang-ups surfaced when updating a category in WPML, displaying a PHP Fatal Error related to maximum execution time exceeded.
Solution:
Initially, attempts to resolve involved enabling duplication of featured images and Elementor multimedia in the language settings of the problematic products and troubleshooting within WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency. Later, it was discovered that a plugin functioned as the root cause of the site hang-ups, resolved by disabling specific lines in the plugin's PHP file. Further investigation found MySQL syntax errors associated with WPML translations, leading to a deeper analysis by a higher-tier support team. Eventually, a workaround was suggested involving modifications in wp-config.php, functions.php, and performing SQL queries to fix the issue.
