I enabled multicurrency for my website (standard currency is EUR and I've added USD for the English website).
The currency switcher is visible in the footer. I have checked the box to show the switcher on the product page template too, but I don't see it on my website. What is going wrong?

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with the first debugging steps or if I can help with the issue quickly.

It looks like you're using the Woodmart theme, there’s a chance that the theme or one of the plugins is changing the product template, and the currency switcher can’t be added to the page.

To confirm that, please temporarily switch to the default theme and check if the currency switcher appears on the product page.

If the issue persists, please deactivate the plugins except for WPML, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency and check the product page again.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi,

Woodmart should be WPML compatible. I switched to an other theme and deactivated some plugins but the switcher still is not shown on the product page.

Hi, and thanks for following our suggestions.

I'll continue to help you with this issue.

We might be facing a new compatibility issue with the Woodmart theme that has not yet been reported. I don't have a copy of the latest version of the Woodmart theme. Will you be able to help us replicate this problem?

We need to replicate this issue on a fresh WordPress installation. Then I'll be able to escalate it to our compatibility team. For this, I created a test website with a clean WordPress install. You can access it through this link:

With this link, you'll be directly logged in.

Could you please install the Woodmart theme and see if the issue is replicable on a clean WordPress installation?

Please configures WPML and WooCommerce as set on your site (just the basic configurations needed to replicate the issue are enough).

Please also ensure you install the latest version of the theme.

Please let us know when everything is finished, and you can replicate the problem.

Thanks,
Itamar.

Hi Itamar,

I only have 1 license so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to install it on your clean WordPress installation...? Is it a Woodmart issue when the currency switcher also doesn't show when I switch to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme?

Hi,

No, if the currency switcher is not showing when you switch the theme to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme, then it is not a Woodmart issue. Thanks for checking this.

If you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me.

Hi, and thanks for the access details.

I've checked things on your site and discovered that the currency switcher is available on the product's pages. But it is hidden with the following CSS directive.

.meta-location-add_to_cart .product_meta, .popup-quick-view .entry-summary .product_meta {
    display: none;
}

Once I uncheck this directive, the currency switcher is shown. Please see the attached screenshot.

So it is there. The settings from WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency work. It is just hidden by another setting or a custom CSS you've added.

Does this information helpful for you to solve the problem?
Do you know which settings are causing this?

I see it's a piece of custom CSS that was added to hide the SKU and categories. Is there a way to hide those but not the currency switcher?

Hi, and thanks for confirming my findings.

It is hard for me to tell if there is a way to hide only the SKU and categories but not the currency switcher. I guess that you'd need to find a more specific CSS directive that only hides the parts you need to hide but not the currency switcher. Currently, the whole div with the class 'product_meta' is hidden. In any case, please understand that providing a solution for this is out of the scope of our support forum.
