We have been suffering on our site with errors saying "resources.ldra.com redirected you too many times."
Our technical support have seen the .htaccess is being rewritten by WMPL and it is causing these errors.
When we install a new .htaccess about every 5/7 days WPML will update the .htaccess and this error comes back again.
This is causing real problems with the site as it means we have to stop promoting it and can't rely on the WPML plugin.
The problem seems to be a random redirect that is being created by WPML
If you look at the following trace of trying to load the homepage back 10th Feb you can see the problem. hidden link
It attempts to load the homepage, redirects to hidden link and then backward and forwards between the two URLs.
I have got the previous .htaccess file and the current one which my tech support replaced it with to try to stop the problem.
Original hidden link
Replacement hidden link
What is particularly weird is the problem appears and disappears.
Our site uses GEOIP look-up for the translation so there is no flag switch available.
This solution has been working reliably for the last three years but seems to have started back in November 2022, since which we have had regular problems with it.
According to the WPML log file, there does seem to have been releases around that time (Oct & Noc) but nothing since. That may be something to do with it. https://wpml.org/category/changelog/
Any helps as if we can't fix this then we will have to stop using WPML.
Thanks
