This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported that the Main Menu disappeared from the WordPress admin area but was still visible on the frontend. After using WP Menu Sync, the Main Menu reappeared in the admin area, but two Main Menus appeared on the frontend in the secondary languages.
Solution:
We identified this as a known issue related to WP Menu Sync and the translation of custom menu items. You can read more about this issue here.
We recommend editing the menus directly in the affected languages (French, Catalan, and Portuguese) to correct the duplication. Before making any changes, please ensure to back up your entire site (both files and database).
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check for related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance.
