Hi okay making good progress.. but found another issue can u help please

okay so I am making a slight change to the English page adding a h1 tag and an icon... but I wish these changes to be reflected in the translated pages, but the system seems to be trying and charge me again for a full translation please see attached...

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

We hope you have used the same WPML user account in the past for the original site (hidden link). Becuase this issue is happening because of a conflict in translation memory.

Does it happen with multiple pages? One request to make sure the translation memory is working as expected. Please create a simple page for testing with a few of the text from the following page or any fully translated page (which shows *pencil* icon for translation), then try to translate it and check ATE is charging for the translation.

ok so for the Croatia page ( which does NOT show Pencil )

I created a new page and copied a paragraph into new page ( use same title )

As u can see screenshot the system is charging again so not connected to database?

This is happening in many pages.

I think the first test shows connection with dtabase problem

Would be great if you could login and look to speed up the support and get to the bottom of this....

Thank you for the login information. It will be great if you can share the credentials of your live site also, after a full site backup. So we can crosscheck it. But will not make any changes in the live site.

Hope you are using the 4.6.15 version of WPML in both sites. Enabling the private option for the next reply.

We have found the actual reason for this issue. It happened because of the following.

1) The staging site was not an exact copy of the live site. It is missing this setting - https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site/#marking-the-original-site-as-a-copy

2) The following post was updated before the translation was completed. So a new translation job is registered for this post. That is why ATE charged for automatic translation again. Always please make sure the translation is complete (pencil) icon before updating the original language post or page. It will help us to avoid similar issues in the future.

Hi are u available for chat ?

1.. Do I have todo anything ? or is this now set correctly , as I do not see any messages when login to the live account?

2.. I tried to refresh the content on the Italian version of the page hidden link
and it is still charging 3,000 plus credits..... how can this be fixed for this page an others

You say NOT completed, it looks complete to me I have 3 translated pages so can u claify what I am nott undersdtanding

How do I detect these pages that are bot compete ( pencil) ? and how do I update them so I am not charged when I make changes to the new dev site

One request, if possible, can you please make a new copy of the site? After installing the new copy, log in to the new copy and visit its WPML>>Translation Management dashboard and check if it is showing a *WPML detected a new address for this site* alert like the following or not.

We can see the translation status of a Post in the following locations. The pencil icon indicates translation is complete, the + icon indicates not translated yet, gear icon indicates translation is in progress.

1) WPML>>Translation Management Dashboard, under each post type (like Posts, Pages, Destinations)

2) In Post lists (likes Posts>>All Posts or Pages>>All Pages or Destination>>All Destinations)

3) In the WPML Language widget of the Post Edit screen (it will be on the right side of the screen)

assime is the green icon is pencil icon ?

okay how can I quickly accept the reviews so all goto pencil status? ( iave hundres of pages at review status I think )
