Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up my main site, medellindecerca.com, with Spanish as the primary language and use medellinupclose.com for the English version. I followed the steps in the WPML documentation for using different domains per language and increased the WP memory limit to 512M as suggested.

Symptoms:
medellinupclose.com shows an old version of medellindecerca.com and does not display the English version by default; it starts in Spanish instead. Plus, if I am at medellinupclose and use the language switcher to go to the Spanish version, it doesn't take me to medellindecerca.com (as it should), but stays at medellinupclose instead. Despite increasing the WP memory limit, WPML > Support > WordPress shows a memory limit of 256M and a maximum memory limit of 128M.

Questions:
Why is medellinupclose.com showing an old version of medellindecerca.com?
Why does medellinupclose.com not display the English version by default?
Why medellinupclose.com's language swithcer doesn't take you to medellindecerca.com when Spanish is selected?
Why is the memory limit not reflecting the increase to 512M?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

1.- The behavior described responds to an incorrect domain configuration. Please contact your hosting/domain providers and ask them to set up the domains as described in this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/
Because each hosting/domain configuration is slightly different, we cannot offer a final solution, but your hosting/domain providers will be able to adjust the configuration.

2.- Please update the WPML plugins to the latest version. You can update the WPML plugins in Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial tab

Best regards,
Carlos

Thank you sir. I will contact the hosting provider. However, I want to add that all of my WPML plugins are updated to the latest. At the time I attached the debug information here in the support request they were not updated yet, but I did it just after that and before posting this ticket. Then I refreshed the sites but the issue was not solved.

Thank you for clarifying that the WPML plugins are up-to-date on your site.

As I mentioned earlier, the domain configuration will be solved by your hosting/domain providers after following the guide I shared.
