Hi, Adding WPML to an existing Woo site and it is not going well. The site is hidden link It has screwed up my currencies and disconnected Woo Bookings from Woo Orders. I have already spent 300+ Euros on pay as you go translations. How can I reuse them again on the same site? I want to reinstall site from backup to where it was before I install your plugins.

Hi there,

As we discussed on the chat, please let us know when the staging website is ready, as well as the exact step-by-step in order to reproduce the issue.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

Hi,

After WPML screwed things up for me on my live site, plus spending 350+ Euros on Automatic Pay-As-You-Go translation service. I had no choice but to reinstate the complete site from a back, I took just before I went down this journey.

The main issues is the Woo Booking Extension and Yay Currency Switcher.

So I now have a live site all back and happy again but out of pocket.

I will create a staging copy of the live site. This I will give to a developer as and when I find one. But at the moment, no one has contacted me.

With the credits have already paid for can I use them on the stagging site? So I can get it fully working.

Any help or details of a developer would be great.

Stagging site is up and running and uses the same admin details as previously shared:

1. I installed WPML on the live site, chose Auto Translation Everything along with Pay-As-You-Go, and spent 350+ Euros. The site collapsed and impacted my business. So I reinstalled it from a previous backup with no WPML installed (Live site hidden link)

2. I created a staging site from this fresh backup; no WPML has been installed as yet (Staging site staging2.borneodream.com).

3. Now, when a developer works on the staging site, how do they get access to the Pay-As-You-Go they have already purchased? So that we can have a completely translated staging site before transferring back to the original domain/site?

Thanks
Billy

Hello Billy,

I checked from our side and it seems website staging2.borneodream.com is set as COPY of the live website, so they share the same pay-as-you-go account and translation memory (25k words) and if you try to translate the same words/content for what you already paid it will be used from memory and you will not be charged.

Please check:
- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site/
- https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/automatic-translation-subscription-for-multiple-sites/

Hope this answers your doubts.

Drazen

Hi,

So on my staging copy (hidden link) do I need to select pay as you go and fill in credit card details again? will it use my primary account on hidden link ?

As WPML is no longer in stalled on the primary/live site due to issues. This is why I now have a staging site.

Regards
B

As you see from the image attached, it is now asking for credit card details, which were already supplied on the live site hidden link

Do I need to add them again??

The parent or live site no longer has WPML installed on it due to issues. So, I can not get the account migration code from it to put on the new site etc. Plus I have already s[ent 350 Euro on first site before it went very wrong.

Hello,

yes, you can re-add again credit card or buy package credits.

Credits that have been used before for translation, are saved in translation memory and will we used for that staging also, if same words /content is translated.

The thing is I now see again new instance or hidden link was created that now is not created (Dec 21st), that probably means you created again new staging site.

Please provide admin access and FTP and I will connect it to the same translation memory as before and as previous.com. website.

Drazen

Hello,

there you go, your staging site now shares translation memory from your previous live website.

You still need to buy credits or setup pay as you go, but you will not be charged for translation already paid.

Hi,

Sorry to be a pain. How long will the translation process take as it has been running for over 15 hours now and still says 0% and 0/303

THanks
B
