Hi,

When I create the translated version of a English menu, can I copy all the English menu items to the translated version, just like in Post, I can use "Duplicate English Contents" to copy the English contents to the translated post.

I try to follow the instructions in https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/ to create a translated menu manually, but found that the new menu is empty. I try to use "Menus Sync" function, but it only allows me to sync menu items that contains translated posts.

Hi there.

The only way to do this is to use the manual translation method (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/#option-2-translating-menus-manually) and recreate the menu in the other language.

I am not sure what you mean by having the menu empty when you try to translate it manually.

Practically, you will need to create button links as it is empty in the beginning when you manually translate them. You start from scratch, with an empty menu that's set to be the "translation" of the main one, but you put the same links inside it manually.

Please let me know if there is something that is still not clear so that I can try to help.

Thank you!

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
