This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants the language code to appear in the directory structure of the URL instead of as a parameter.

Solution:
1. Navigate to WPML >> Languages > Language URL format.
2. Choose the "Different languages in directories" option and click the Save button.
3. Re-save the Permalinks by going to Settings >> Permalinks and clicking the Save Changes button.
4. Clear all types of cache from your site/server.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. You should be able to achieve it by following the below steps:

1. Go to WPML >> Languages > Language URL format.

2. Select the “Different languages in directories” option and press the Save button as you can see in the attached screenshot.

3. Please re-save the Permalinks from the Settings >> Permalinks page by pressing the Save Changes button.

4. Please clear all sorts of cache from your site/server and see if this resolves your issue.

Here is a doc for more details:

Thank you

Glad to hear your Language URL format issue is solved. Regarding the problems with translating the hero section, it's a different issue and will be handled separately in accordance with our support policy. I've created a new ticket for this at:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/hero-section-translation/ and we will continue to work on the new ticket.

Thank you
