This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client has moved a development site from a subdomain to another domain, which is the live domain, and is unsure what to select in the WPML message received in the backend regarding sharing translation memory and automatic translation credits. Solution: 1. If the client plans to continue using the development website, they should select 'Yes' to share automatic translation credits and memory between the two websites. 2. If the development website will no longer be used, WPML will transfer all related translation memory and account details to the new live website. 3. To complete the process, the client should: - Go to WPML → Translation Management. - Click the Tools tab. - Expand the Connected Sites section. - Copy the migration code. - Paste it on the live website to connect them. That depends if you are still using it and goona use the the dev website. So if you are gonna use the dev website, you can choose yes, and then share automatic translation credits and memory between these websites, and if not WPML will move all the related translation memory and account to be connected with your new website.
it doesn't matter if no client has access to it, if you are still going to do the translations there, you may want to share translation memory and credits, but nothing wrong in keeping them separate and move all credits and translation memory to new production website.
1) If you specify that you are no longer using the original site address, WPML begins moving your translation information to the new URL.
Your site’s translation memory and pending translations will remain as they are.
The Advanced Translation Editor will update your site’s permalinks to the new URL.
You can continue translating as normal on your new site address.
If you moved your site from development to production, you need to update your site key.
2) If the site you are using is a copy and your original site is still running:
WPML will treat it as a new site, so you need to register it. This will allow you to receive automated updates and add translation credits to the site copy.
Any pending translation jobs will be canceled.
If your original site has translation credits or a pay-as-you-go subscription, you can choose from two options:
a) Assign translation credits or set up a separate pay-as-you-go subscription for the copy of your site.
If you at any point decide you want your site copy and original site to share credits, translation memory, and the glossary, you can link the copy of your site with your existing automatic translation account.
b) Share credits across sites by linking the copy to an existing automatic translation account.
The dev site (kumlins.mlwebbyra.se) has the development key.
And when we moved the site from kumlins.mlwebbyra.se to the live site kumlinsuspension.se, i updated the key from dev to production key on kumlinsuspension.se
But now when i click the option 1, i get asked to click the link to get the migration code. When i click i gets redirected back to the back end again?

migration code and licence key are different things.
First please finish up wizard on both websites, then if you wish to connect translation memory and credits and you need to add migration code you can follow next guide:
But as you can see in my screen recording that i posted above, i cant get to the next step to et the migration code, i just get redirected to the back end again.

1) In order to expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site.
- To give debug information, login to your site and go to WPML → Support. From there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page.
- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire content of the text box and copy it.
- Now go back to our support forum, find debug information box and paste it.
2) Please make a full backup of your site (files and database) and confirm it in your next reply.
If possible please provide access to the staging website, not production.
Please note, that I might need to do some debugging procedures like enable/disable plugins, switch themes, change the default language of the user account, and/or access your website database to debug the issue furtherly.
I will share with you any changes or steps done in this process. Please let me know if you do not agree with the above or if I do not have your permission for any.
I would need to access both your site's wp-admin and FTP account, if possible.
I have enabled the private username and password fields in your next reply.
I suggest you create a new user, set it as an administrator and then add those credentials in the private fields mentioned.
You can safely add your information into these fields.
I checked and I can see migration banner works fine for me. I chose to share credits and translation memory and it the last steps it asked to share the migration code to connect them. I am being redirected to the dev website, but I do not have a login.
Please try again and copy the migration code from the next link paste it and try to finish the wizard:
Go to WPML → Translation Management and click the Tools tab.
Expand the Connected Sites section.
Copy migration code and paste it on your copy website.
