This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to migrate or change the language of multiple posts from the default language to another language within a custom post type created using ACF multilingual.
Solution:
We informed the client that WPML Export and Import can be used to export and import posts into different languages. However, it is necessary to import the posts in the default language first and then import the translations to establish the correct connections between them. We provided the client with documentation links for detailed instructions:

Hi,

Thank you for looking into it.

On the same note, is there any method we can use to migrate or change the language of multiple posts from the default language to another language?

Currently, we have a custom post type created using ACF multilingual and all the posts within it are in one language. Is there a way we can change the current language of some of these posts?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

As of now, we can only change the language of a post manually. Because the translation details are stored in multiple tables.

Please try the workaround suggested in the following ticket after a site backup{mandatory} and let us know your feedback.

Hi,

Thank you for your response on this.

We just recently received an email from WPML about the release of WPML Export and Import 1.0 -
https://wpml.org/compatibility/2024/01/wpml-export-and-import-1-0-move-multilingual-wordpress-content/

Will this be a useful tool for us to update the posts' default language from EN and split them into other languages?

Would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. WPML Export and Import allows us to export and import posts into different languages. However we need to import the posts in the default language first, and then the translations to establish connections between them.

Please refer to the following documentation for more details and let us know your feedback.
