Hello There, Thank you for reaching out and providing the details about the issue you are facing on your staging site. I understand the issues. Let's address your questions one by one: Layout issue due to translation: When translating from Chinese to English, the translated text can often be longer. While WPML assists in translating the content, any layout issues caused by the longer text will require manual adjustments. You may need to review and adjust the layout or modify the English translation and keep it short to ensure that the site remains visually appealing and functional. Free Credits for Translation: WPML offers 2,000 free automatic translation credits each month when you activate the pay-as-you-go . Please check this link for more details. With those credits, you can test how the Automatic translation basically works. Re-translate contents after migration: Generally, once you migrate your staging site to the live environment, you will not need to re-translate the content if the migration is done correctly. WPML’s translation data will be carried over during the migration process. Please refer to this guide to understand how to manage translations when migrating from development to production. I hope the information above helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hi! The free credits are only available with the Pay-as-you-go plan, so they cannot be used with the Prepaid plan. If you choose the Pay-as-you-go plan, once the free credits are used up, you will only be charged for the automatic translation credits you have used at the end of the month. In response to your query regarding automatic content translation: If you have enough credits or have enabled the Pay-as-you-go plan, simply go to "WPML > Settings" and change the `Translation mode` to 'Translate Everything Automatically'. Once this is done, the content will start translating automatically. You don't even have to send the page for automatic translation. If automatic translation is enabled on the site, it is not necessary at all to create pages in all languages. For more details about Automatic translation, please check this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/#translating-your-whole-site-automatically I hope this is clear. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or need clarification on any particular point. I'll be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hi there, I have paid for WPML subscription and have some questions: 1. I would like to use WPML's Google's Translation feature (stated in your website: URL) which automatically translates content based on user's language selection in the dropdown menu. Can you advise the steps to setup & configuration please? 2. I would like to translate some dynamic pages in which there is no static content in it. These pages display custom posts with filters which include customized fields. Please see below the website references for your better understanding: -- hidden link 3. To my understand we are supposed to receive free 2,000 credits per month. We didn't receive it but instead the plugin is utilizing our pre-paid credits. Can you advise how do we obtain the free credit? |

Hello There, Please find the answers to your queries below: 1) Automatic translation using Google Translate: The Google Translation engine is included with WPML, and you can easily switch to it via WPML > Settings. Please refer to this guide to understand the overall process. 2) Translating dynamic pages that contain posts: I checked the links you shared, and they appear to be pages. To see the dynamic content within these pages translated, first ensure that the posts to be displayed are translated. Once the posts are translated, proceed to translate the page itself. After completing the page translation, the translated dynamic posts will appear correctly when you switch languages. 3) Free automatic translation credits: You will receive automatic translation credits only with the Pay-as-you-go subscription, as mentioned here. Since you're on a prepaid subscription, unfortunately, you will not receive the free credits. If you want, you can switch to a Pay-as-you-go subscription to receive the monthly free credits. I hope you can understand. Feel free to let me know if you have any other queries or require clarification. I will be happy to help. Best regards, |

Hi Prosenjit, We still need some clarification, let me brief you in detail. 1. We don't want to change the search engine to Google, instead what we want is without converting every post and pages to the language using auto translation or manual process, need only the frontend translation which works like google translator. When the user changes the language to any language it will simply translate that page's every part including page contents, menus and footer everything whatever present in that page to selected language, just like how the google translator browser extension works. 2. As you can see in the attached snapshots, we have already converted the Home page, but we are not able to convert the static contents as highlighted in the screenshot. For reference you can go through the below links and attached snapshot as we have converted the home page already but it's not converting the dynamic parts like search section which we have developed through short code. show in snapshot. Also string translation feature does not allow us to add our custom string. Also please guide us to use this feature and how we can use it throughout the website which we have used as short code. hidden link 3. We have prepaid subscription before but now we have already activated Pay-as-you-go subscription still we are not received free credits. Please go through the above points and help us to achieve our desired result. |

Hi There, Please find the answers to each of the points below: 1) Frontend Translation Only: With WPML, the content must be translated first to be displayed in the frontend. Unfortunately, it is not possible to show automatically translated content without first translating it in the backend. WPML does not have this feature yet. 2) Translating the Static strings: I have reviewed the screenshot and found that most of the highlighted texts are static strings. These static strings can be easily translated by going to WPML > String Translation, provided the text has the necessary translation support. If the highlighted texts are added through custom code, ensure they are wrapped in the `gettext()` function with the correct text domain. Please refer to this guide to learn more about adding translation support for texts. If these texts are added by a theme or plugin and have translation support, please try the following steps: 1. Go to WPML > Theme and Plugins Localization. However, if you don't see the text in the results, you may check in the admin screen by following this guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings I hope the information above will help you to translate the Strings. 3. Free Credits: The 2,000 credits will not appear as a deposit. Instead, the first 2,000 credits you use each month with the pay-as-you-go plan will be automatically free of charge. To see this in action, remove the existing credits from your site by following this guide, and then try translating something automatically. I hope the information above helps. Best regards, |
