Tell us what you are trying to do? When translating a product, variations are not copied.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site? hidden link

Hello

This is most likely linked to this errata:
https://wpml.org/errata/wp-6-0-issues-with-terms-assigned-to-posts/

Could you please apply the workaround described there and let me know if it resolves the issue?

A release fix will be announced shortly.

I made the change in the file as indicated, but the problem persists. It doesn't copy the variations in the translation.

1. Temporary Access to your system
Please provide access to your system (wp-admin and ftp) so that I can further investigate this particular problem. The fields to provide this data are included in a private section that I will open for your next response. You can find it above the comments area. The information in this private section is only visible between WPML Support and you.

2. Please provide URL of one product that illustrates this issue that I can work with.

Please check your product attributes here:

Woocommerce > Woocommerce Multilingual > Attributes

Are they all correct?
If not, please eliminate any incorrect ones using the wordpress Products > Attributes interface

Then let me know. We can then run a tool to synch your translated variations but I want to make sure the attributes are "clean" and correct.

Alright. Please now try translating a new product. I fixed the other two that had been started

I believe all should be ok now

I have translated 2 products (4403 S and 4399 S) and it still does not copy the variations. That is, the color is copied but the size is not.

Hmmm - I am not sure why this is happening.

Please try one more and let me know. I've fixed the other 2 again.

For your information, I enter the EN product edit screen, remove the variations, and then update the EN product from the edit screen.

This regenerates the correct translated variations.

I translated the 4399 H product and exactly the same thing happens. What is the solution?

Ok. I think there may be a theme/plugin conflict.

Is this a development site? If not, please setup a staging site so that we can troubleshoot.

The first step will be to see if the same behaviour happens if you:
- temporarily change your active theme to be Storefront
- temporarily deactivate all of your non-WPML plugins except for Woocommerce.

In this setup, please try translating a variable product again and verify if the same issue happens. IF IT DOES - then send me a copy of your site as per this article:
https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

You can inform me when the copy is ready to download since I have access to your site and I will download it to a localhost. I will then verify if it happens on a localhost and, if it does, we will then escalate to our 2nd tier support.

It can't be a plugin or theme problem because WPML was already working correctly 2 days ago with the current plugins and the same theme. The problem has to be with WPML.

A colleague of yours 2 days ago entered this same website and left everything working correctly. Now it is no longer working...

2 days ago were you at WordPress 6.0? What happened 2 days ago that you then opened a ticket?

May 31, 2022 at 1:24 pm #11353713

rodrigoO-4

Yes with wordpress 6.0. The advanced editor did not work and ran an error. That error was fixed and it worked correctly. Now the advanced editor works but does not copy the variations...

Support was via chat.

Wordpress 6.0 introduced unexpected changes in the way that we are dealing with taxonomies. And for this reason, it may be that there is now a compatibility issue.

If you cannot create a staging site, please send us a copy of your site and we can study it on a localserver.

Would you be willing to do the test of trying in a minimal setup of your site (Storefrong + WPML + Woocomerce)? It would only take a few minutes and could immediately set us on a better track to determining what is going on.
